Classic Hamburger Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) ground beef (80% lean)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns
- Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, pickles
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet to medium-high heat.
2. While the grill or skillet is heating up, divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties. Season each patty with a pinch of salt and a dash of black pepper.
3. Place the hamburger patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare to medium doneness, or adjust cooking time to your preference.
4. While the patties are cooking, cut the hamburger buns in half horizontally.
5. Once the patties are cooked to your liking, remove them from the grill or skillet and let them rest for a minute.
6. While the patties are resting, toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in the skillet for about 1-2 minutes until they're lightly golden.
7. Assemble your hamburgers by placing a patty on the bottom half of each bun. Add your favorite toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, and pickles.
8. Top with the other half of the hamburger bun.
