Quick Chicken Pakora Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup boneless chicken pieces (cut into bite-sized cubes)
- 1/2 cup chickpea flour (besan)
- 2 tablespoons rice flour
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- Salt to taste
- Water (as needed)
- Oil for frying
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Prepare the Chicken:
- Clean and cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
- Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
2. Make the Batter:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chickpea flour, rice flour, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, and a pinch of salt.
- Gradually add water while stirring to make a smooth and thick batter. Ensure there are no lumps.
3. Heat the Oil:
- Heat enough oil in a deep frying pan or skillet over medium-high heat. To check if the oil is hot enough, drop a small amount of batter into the oil; if it sizzles and rises to the surface, the oil is ready.
4. Coat and Fry the Chicken:
- Dip each chicken piece into the prepared batter, coating it evenly.
- Carefully place the coated chicken pieces into the hot oil one by one, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
- Fry the chicken pakoras until they turn golden brown and crispy, usually about 4-5 minutes per batch.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried chicken pakoras and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
5. Serve Hot:
- Chicken pakoras are best enjoyed hot and crispy. Serve them with your favorite chutney or dipping sauce.
Enjoy your quick and delicious homemade chicken pakoras!❤
