Steam Roast Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 boneless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornflour
- 1 tablespoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 eggs
- Vegetable oil for frying
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Prepare the chicken breasts by washing them and patting them dry with paper towels. Cut each breast into two equal-sized pieces to create chicken strips.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornflour, red chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create a dry coating mixture.
3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs until they are well mixed.
4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a large, deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).
5. Dip each chicken strip into the beaten eggs, ensuring it's well-coated.
6. Roll the egg-coated chicken strip in the dry coating mixture, making sure it's evenly coated.
7. Carefully place the coated chicken strips into the hot oil and fry until they are golden brown and cooked through. This usually takes about 6-8 minutes, depending on the thickness of the chicken.
8. Once the chicken strips are done, remove them from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
9. Serve your chicken steam broast hot with your choice of dipping sauces, such as ketchup, garlic sauce, or ranch dressing.
