Quick Green Tea Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 green tea bag
- 1 cup of hot water (about 8 ounces or 240 ml)
- Honey or sugar (optional)
- Lemon slice (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS
Boil water: Bring a kettle or pot of water to a boil. You can also heat water in a microwave-safe cup until it's hot but not boiling.
Prepare the tea bag: Place a green tea bag in your cup or mug. If you like your tea stronger, you can use two tea bags.
Pour hot water: Carefully pour the hot water over the tea bag(s) in the cup. Ensure the tea bag is fully submerged in the hot water.
Steep the tea: Allow the tea to steep for about 2-3 minutes. Steeping time may vary based on your taste preferences. A shorter steeping time results in a milder flavor, while a longer steeping time makes the tea stronger and slightly bitter.
Remove the tea bag: Once the tea has steeped to your desired strength, carefully remove the tea bag, squeezing it gently against the side of the cup to extract any remaining liquid.
Sweeten (optional): If you prefer your green tea sweet, you can add honey or sugar to taste. Stir well until the sweetener dissolves.
Add lemon (optional): For a citrusy twist, you can add a slice of lemon to your green tea. This step is entirely optional and based on personal preference.
Enjoy: Your green tea is ready to drink. Sip it while it's still warm and savor the soothing flavors.
Note: Green tea can be enjoyed plain or with various flavor additions, such as mint, ginger, or jasmine. Adjust the sweetness and additional flavorings to suit your taste preferences.
